What a few weeks it has been!

First, e-mail from church addresses were being blocked by some internet companies. We compensated by starting to use the plainfieldchurch.org domain, which used a different web host.

Next, the plainfielducc.org site became unavailable - both for browsing via the web and for retrieving e-mail - for days at a time. We compensated by downloading the entire plainfielducc.org website (when it was available) and switching the plainfielducc.org domain to point to the new site (this one).

On this site we are building the new website for Plainfield Congregational United Church of Christ.

Goals include:

• Simpler content management, allowing more people to help with the site.
• More frequent updates.
• Better integration with the United Church of Christ website at http://www.ucc.org/.
• Better integration with search engines.
• On-site search.
• Consistent theme.
• Private areas for members and friends.
• Discussion forums.
• Ability to add streaming video and audio.
