Plainfield UCC welcomes our new choir accompanist, Joy Thornton.   Joy has accompanied for many years in the church music scene.  Joy is a talented classical pianist, jazz pianist and teacher as well.  Her gifts in music are warmly welcomed by our Congregation.
      The Chancel Choir performed "A Celtic Noel" on Christmas Eve  a beautiful, lively piece which honors the birth of Jesus.   Many choir  members were able to participate in this joyous Christmas Worship Service.

On December 20th, 2009, the Chancel Band of Plainfield UCC performed for the Christmas service.   Along with flutes, oboe, violin, trombones, clarinet, percussion and piano, our talented members shared their gifts of music.
       Some of the selections included "Christmas Joy" and "Hark, The Herald Angels Sing".   Many smiles and kind words were received by all involved.  Merry Christmas!

The children of Plainfield UCC performed on December 13th, with this years' Christmas Pageant,
"Beneath A Shining Star".   With beautiful costumes, great sets and wonderful music, the children took us on a journey to Bethlehem.   Songs included "I'm Booked Up" and Let's All Go To Bethlehem".
      Under the direction of Linda and Rich Brauer,  children did a fantastic job!!!!   Merry Christmas!
