Plainfield Congregational United Church of Christ has many opportunities to worship God through music. Among these are the Chancel Choir, Inspiration!, other wise known as "Praise" Band, Chancel Concert Band, Children's Pageants. All are welcome to come and share their talents in any of these areas of the Music Ministry.Chancel Choir sings from September to May, and practices on Sunday at 9:00 a.m. Chancel Choir sings every Sunday, except Contemporary Sunday, which is the second Sunday of the Month.
Inspiration! is a contemporary group that rehearses and performs on the second Sunday of each month. New and exciting contemporary Christians songs are introduced each month. Members have special vocal rehearsals as well as instrumental practices in addition to the Sunday practice.
Pageant Plays are performed by the children in the Kid's Quest Sunday School Program. Children are given the opportunity to act and/or sing for special programs throughout the year.
Chancel Concert Band performs twice at year. Once at Christmas and again during Easter Season. All are welcome to bring their musical instruments and play in the band.
All are welcome to join the Chancel Choir, as well. Please come if you would like to share your musical talents!
